Janmashtami celebration
- Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the students of Jain Bharti Institute of Higher Education. Student made their own matkis, painted and decorated it with glitter and stickers.
- Dahi Handi is the most ancient joyful game played and celebrated, for the birth of Krishna in Janmashtami. It is celebrated amidst merriment. Young men and boys form teams, make a human pyramid and attempt to reach or break the pot. As they do so, girls surround them, sing with music, and cheer them on.
